Spider-Man Blamed for Web of Burglaries Involving Liquor, Tobacco From Grayson County Stores

North Texas authorities are searching for a masked bandit -- one more often seen on the big screen and the pages of comics than on wanted posters. In at least three burglaries within the past week, a suspect in the guise of Spider-Man has been seen in surveillance footage. The Grayson County stores are within less than 10 miles of each other. The area is close to the Oklahoma border, about 70 miles north of Dallas.Authorities aren't sure if it's the same suspect in each incident, but they're looking into the possibility, Denison police spokesman Michael Eppler said. The first burglary happened in Denison just before 5:50 a.m. Saturday at Fossil Creek Liquor in the 2700 block South U.S. 75. The suspect, seen in the photo below, wore a mask and a baseball cap. He forced his way into the store and stole about $245 in liquor, Eppler said.
