Southwest Airlines Adds New Caribbean Flights for Fall From Three Texas Cities

Southwest Airlines is adding new fall flights to the Caribbean from three Texas cities and boosting service in other regions around the country.Beginning Nov. 3, the Dallas-based carrier will resume daily service between Austin and Cancun. Six days later, it'll launch Saturday-only service from San Antonio to Cancun, and Houston to Aruba.The carrier also will begin Saturday-only flights to Cancun from Nashville and Milwaukee, as well as routes from Denver to Belize, Baltimore-Washington to the Costa Rican cities of Liberia and San Jose, and Chicago's Midway Airport to San Jose del Cabo/Cabo San Lucas.Other fall schedule additions include:Daily nonstop service between Baltimore-Washington and Greenville-Spartanburg, starting Nov. 3. That route was last offered in 2016.New weekly Saturday flights between Boston and Fort Lauderdale, commencing Nov. 9.Numerous daily and weekend flights between Long Beach and other California cities, including Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, effective Oct. 1. It'll also fly twice daily on weekends from Long Beach to Las Vegas.A roundtrip flight between Long Beach and Las Vegas on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in October, and a roundtrip flight on weekends in October between Long Beach and Denver.Southwest, the nation's largest domestic carrier, operates about 4,000 daily flights.  Continue reading...
