Sound the Alarm: Rockwall County Town May Be Driving Its Fire Department to Insolvency

The fire department that has served McLendon-Chisholm for more than 40 years is facing the heat of political change sweeping through the Rockwall County community.The town of about 2,500 people and the independent McLendon-Chisholm Volunteer Fire Department have been without a service contract since Jan. 1.
