Son Detained After Father Stabs Owner and Cook at Fort Worth Restaurant

Police were looking for a man — and had his son in custody — after the stabbing of the owner and cook at a Fort Worth restaurant Sunday night.The father and son were intoxicated and disorderly at the Daiquiri Daddi Cafe in the 6200 block of Hulen Bend Boulevard, police told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. They were being escorted out of the restaurant around 10:15 p.m. after one of them threw a plate at the cook.At that point, the father, who is about 50, retrieved a knife from his vehicle and stabbed the restaurant's owner. The cook was also stabbed when he tried to stop the attack, police said.The father then fled from the scene. Police are still looking for him.The restaurant owner was hospitalized in critical condition; the cook had a wound that was not life-threatening.Police detained the son, who is 25 to 30, for questioning.
