Shooter Killed Woman, Injured Man Sitting in Vehicle in Northwest Dallas

Dallas police are searching for the person who walked up to a vehicle parked in northwest Dallas and opened fire on both people inside Sunday evening.Amelia Hernandez Orozco, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her companion, a 39-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital and is being treated for his injuries.The two had been sitting in the vehicle in the 9300 block of Mixon Drive, near Northwest Highway and Marsh Lane, when the shooter approached them around 7:15 p.m.No suspect information is currently available.Officials ask that anybody with information contact Dallas detective Erica King at 214-671-3684 or erica.king@dallascityhall.com  Continue reading...
