Sherin Mathews' Father Transferred Into State Custody to Begin Life Sentence for Her Death

A Richardson father has been transferred to state prison to begin his life sentence in connection with the death of his 3-year-old adopted daughter.Wesley Mathews, 39, was taken from the Dallas County Jail on Thursday to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Huntsville so he can be assigned to a prison unit, according to KXAS-TV (NBC5).A Dallas County jury sentenced him last month for the 2017 death of Sherin Mathews, whose body was found in a culvert weeks after he falsely reported her missing.  Continue reading...
