Sex Assault Trial of Dallas Uber Driver Hinges on Question of Consent

The trial of an Uber driver accused of raping a passenger began Tuesday with the defense claiming the sex was consensual. Talal Ali Chammout, 59, is accused of sexually assaulting the woman July 25, 2015, after he picked her up in Oak Lawn and drove her to her west Oak Cliff home.Prosecutor Trey Stock said the woman "trusted him to get her home safely." Instead, she says, he followed her into her home and knocked her unconscious.
