Several Teens Injured After Crash That Pinned Them Inside SUV in Far North Dallas

Several teenagers were injured after a roll-over crash that pinned them inside an SUV in Far North Dallas overnight. Once the Ford Explorer flipped, the SUV's momentum stopped when it careened into the fence of an apartment complex, where it came to rest on its side about 1:30 a.m. Friday. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the crash in the 4600 block of Pear Ridge Drive, near Dallas North Tollway and Frankford Road. Crews had to cut the top of the roof off to extricate the teenagers inside. It's unclear how many people were in the SUV, but it was reportedly at maximum occupancy. It's believed that at least several of them were not wearing seat belts.Four ambulances on scene transported all of them. Their conditions are not known. About six miles south of the scene, a motorcyclist died in another crash several hours earlier.  Continue reading...
