Had state Sen. Bob Hall (R-Edgewood) rode the fence politically, he may not have had to deal with a formidable challenger in Rep. Cindy Burkett (R-Sunnyvale) in one of Texas' hottest Republican primaries.But it's not in Hall's personality to play it down the middle.
