Scaramucci Out as White House Communications Director

This is a breaking story and will be updated.WASHINGTON -- President Trump has decided to remove Anthony Scaramucci from his position as communications director, three people close to the decision told The New York Times and Politico Monday. The removal comes just days after Scaramucci unloaded a crude verbal tirade against other senior members of the president's senior staff.Scaramucci's abrupt removal came just 10 days after the wealthy New York financier was brought on to the West Wing staff, a move that convulsed an already chaotic White House and led to the departures of Sean Spicer, the former press secretary, and Reince Priebus, the president's first chief of staff.Politico reported the change came at the request of new chief of staff John Kelly, who started Monday, the officials said. It was not clear whether he would take on a new role after leaving the communications job, nor was it immediately clear who would take over the position."Kelly is already changing the culture here," said one White House aide.Scaramucci's brief tenure brought turmoil to the West Wing, including the exits of press secretary Sean Spicer and former chief of staff Reince Priebus.
