Royse City Man Killed After Running Red Light, Getting Hit by Truck Tractor, Officials Say

A 33-year-old Royse City man was killed after his sedan ran the red light early Wednesday in Greenville and was struck by a truck tractor, officials said. About 3:15 a.m., a witness said a 2016 Ford Fusion traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 380 ran the red light at the intersection with U.S. Highway 69, said Sgt. Kyle Bradford with the Texas Department of Public Safety.A Peterbilt truck tractor heading south on U.S. 69 crashed into the passenger side of the Ford, he said. The driver of the truck tractor stopped and pulled the driver, Joshua D. Everett, out of the Ford before it was engulfed in flames, Bradford said.
