Rowlett Water Department Employees Say They Were Shot at in Neighborhood

A man reportedly shot at Rowlett water department employees who had been working Wednesday night to repair a water main. The employees called 911 at 6:20 p.m. to report that they had been shot at in the 10000 block of River Bend Drive. They said they were making repairs on the block when a man got out of his vehicle and began moving barricades off the street, police said. The man got back into his vehicle and parked it at his house. As the employees drove by in a marked City of Rowlett Water Department truck, a man went out the front door of a house and fired one shot toward them, police said. No injuries were reported.
