Rowlett Wal-Mart Evacuated Due to Suspicious Package

Rowlett police have evacuated the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 2501 Lakeview Parkway over concerns about a suspicious package.The call came in at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday. Police emptied the building as a precautionary measure but haven't determined yet what the package is, said Sgt. Oscar Cantu.Rowlett officers are waiting at the scene and have solicited assistance from the Garland Police Department.People should stay away from the area until the matter is resolved, Cantu said.  Continue reading...
