Rig Strikes Guardrail, Ties Up Traffic in Forney

An 18-wheeler has traffic tied up on U.S. Highway in Forney after it jackknifed on Friday morning, police reported.The wreck occurred around 11 a.m. where the highway intersects with westbound FM 460. There were no reports on injuries, but police said the crash did extensive damage to the guardrail.Traffic is being diverted to the northbound service road and emergency services are at the scene, police said.Earlier in the day, another rig was involved in an accident with another vehicle on westbound Highway 80 at the Pinson Road Bridge.In addition, a rock hauler struck the top of a bridge on April 4 in Forney, which forced the closure of Highway 80 for several hours.  Continue reading...
