Richardson's Telecom Corridor Getting Another Apartment Project

El Paso-based apartment developer Hunt Cos. is planning a second large rental community in Richardson.Hunt Cos. starting in 2016 built a 281-unit apartment project on U.S. Highway 75 called Mallory Eastside.Now the developer is seeking approval from Richardson to build a second, 384-unit apartment project next door.The developments will replace a low-rise office park located between U.S. 75 and Greenville Avenue, just south of Campbell Road.BGO Architects designed the new Eastside phase two development, according to filings with the city.The 4-story apartment buildings and parking garage will be located on an 8.48-acre site.Richardson's Telecom Corridor has been one of the Dallas-areas busiest apartment development markets with new projects by Irving-based JPI, Trammell Crow Residential and JLB Partners.Hunt Cos. has built other North Texas apartments in Allen and Frisco.  Continue reading...
