Retail Therapy: CBD-infused Products Land in Texas, and Swappa Wants to Sell Your Electronics

It's been a while since retailers have had a whole new category to sell and consumers have had something to buy that they've never tried.(The only precedent I can think of is Greek yogurt a few years ago.)Beginning Sept. 1, Texas — one of the largest markets in the U.S. — will allow businesses to sell CBD products. Gov. Greg Abbott signed a new law in June that made some CBD products legal in Texas.Expect to be educated at local beauty counters — from luxury retailer Neiman Marcus to drugstores CVS and Walgreens and the neighborhood boutique down the street — about personal care and wellness CBD-infused lotions, oils, lip balms and masks.And CBD products are likely to be big gift items this Christmas.Wholesalers at the Dallas Market Center have been doing a brisk business in CBD products since the beginning of the year.
