Resignation of Plano ISD Superintendent, Board Member to Be Considered at Tonight's School Board Meeting

Plano school trustees will consider resignations of the superintendent and a board member at Tuesday night's meeting and discuss their replacements. The resignations of Superintendent Brian Binggeli and board member Greg Myer are unrelated, according to district spokeswoman Lesley Range-Stanton."They're totally separate," she said. "The only thing in common is the timing."Binggeli was hired in 2015 from Brevard Public Schools in Florida after being approached by the district's search firm. He was the first outsider chosen to lead the district in 20 years, having replaced longtime administrator Richard Matkin. It's unclear why he's leaving.
