Report of Fire Near DART Station in Downtown Dallas Causes Delays

A report of a fire near a downtown Dallas DART station was causing delays Monday for passengers. Shortly before 6 p.m., someone reported flames coming from a manhole cover near North Akard Street and Pacific Avenue, Dallas Area Rapid Transit spokesman Mark Ball said.While Dallas Fire-Rescue investigates the report, DART has terminated its trains at the Victory, West End, Pearl/Arts District and Deep Ellum stations.
