Rep. Victoria Neave Had Blood Alcohol Level Almost Twice the Legal Limit After Dallas DWI Arrest

Dallas Rep. Victoria Neave's blood alcohol level was nearly double the legal limit after she was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated earlier this month.Neave, a Democrat who represents parts of Dallas, Mesquite and Garland, crashed her BMW into a tree at Abrams Road and La Vista Drive on June 6, police said. She had blood shot eyes and her breath smelled strongly of alcohol, and refused to voluntarily provide a blood sample, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Neave had a BAC of .15, almost twice the legal limit of .08, according to a court document.After her arrest, Neave said in a statement that she disappointed her family, constituents, supporters and herself. "I am so grateful that no one was hurt. I am deeply sorry, and will accept the consequences of my actions, and will work to make this right," she said.   Continue reading...
