Red Bird Woman With Katana Attacked Neighbors Who Wouldn't Share Cigarette, Police Say

A Red Bird woman was jailed Wednesday when two of her neighbors reported she'd attacked them when she asked for a cigarette and was offered a dollar instead.Dallas police charged Michele Pamela Sneed, 56, with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.When officers arrived to Sneed's apartment in the 8500 block of Old Hickory Trail, near Interstate 20 and Wheatland Road in Red Bird, she approached them with the sword, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.She dropped it on command, but "remained rowdy," calling her neighbors slurs and threatening to kill them, police said.The neighbors told police that Sneed had asked them for a cigarette, and that they did not have any but offered her a dollar. Sneed then tackled one of them and punched her, the victim said.The victim fought her off, but Sneed pulled out a box cutter and chased her into an apartment.  Continue reading...
