Rain For Halloween

In the wake of today's cold front, a pool of cool air will move into North Texas tonight and stick around for Halloween. A storm system will slide into the area from the west on Tuesday to create clouds and, by the afternoon, areas of rain. While the rain itself won't be heavy, the timing of the rain won't be good for trick-or-treaters. Highs will only be in the upper 50s, but once the rain begins, temperatures will likely cool into the lower 50s. Make sure the kids have an extra layer or two under their costume to keep warm and have an umbrella handy. The showers move out Tuesday night and we will start November on a warmer note with highs in the 70s on Wednesday. We will shoot up to near-record warmth on Thursday. An early reminder that Daylight Saving Time comes to an end this weekend. We will set the clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night. TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and breezy. Low: 47.
