Pursuit Ends After Stolen Pickup Becomes Stuck in Mud, Fort Worth Police Say

A man is in custody after leading police on a chase that began in Fort Worth ended in a backyard in Johnson County. According to Fort Worth police, the pursuit began when a man in a stolen pickup tried to evade officers on Interstate 35W. The driver eventually turned into a residential neighborhood in the town of Briaroaks and lost control of the pickup, causing him to drive into a backyard near the intersection of Dudley Lane and Lorene Street. Police were able to apprehend the man after the pickup became stuck in the mud. His name has not been released. A wrecker was called in to retrieve the pickup, but it also became stuck in the mud.
