Power Issues Force SMU Students to Relocate From Dorm

Students were left without power Monday after it was unintentionally cut from a Southern Methodist University dorm, the university said. Spokesman Kent Best said the university is investigating after "construction-related activities" caused Morrison-McGinnis residential hall in the south quad to lose power.Students were offered hotel rooms and transportation to and from campus, he said. The building will stay closed until all repairs have been completed and the fire marshal has inspected it, Best said. He did not say how long those repairs will take.   Continue reading...
