Pop-up Dining Events Are Fort Worth's Hottest Tickets

The two toughest dining reservations in Fort Worth aren't found at everyday restaurants. Two white-hot pop-up bistros are the talk of Cowtown and reservations often are sold out within minutes. The independent operations are run by chefs who are close friends, and they often they share their pop-up venue.Juan Rodriguez was executive chef at Reata downtown for seven years; he also has worked for celebrity chef Tim Love. Rodriguez ventured out on his own a couple of years ago and opened Magdalena's Cocina, a catering operation on Fort Worth's historic North Side, with wife and business manager Paige Rodriguez.
