Police Seek Killer Who Followed, Shot Dallas Woman After Late-night Motel Meeting

Dallas police are asking for help identifying a gunman who killed a woman in a drive-by shooting earlier this month.Tamaika White, 23, was shot and killed Dec. 5 while riding in a witness's vehicle in the 1300 block of South Marsalis Avenue, police said.The driver told police that White had met the man in the courtyard of City Inn & Suites on Ewing Avenue just before 3 o'clock that morning. Police did not say why they were meeting there.The victim and suspect first approached the witness's car but then got into his car. After a few minutes, White exited the car and sat in the other vehicle, which reversed and left the motel's parking lot. The gunman followed and caught up to the pair about a mile away on Marsalis, south of the Dallas Zoo. He shot at the vehicle and killed White.  Continue reading...
