Police Arrest Woman They Say Used Child to Steal Packages Off Porches in Northwest Dallas

Updated at 2:30 p.m. Jan. 10: Revised to reflect an arrest in the case.Police say they've arrested a woman who used a child to steal packages off porches in northwest Dallas.Ana Isabel Lopez, 30, was booked into the Dallas County jail Wednesday afternoon and faces four counts of theft, police said.On Dec. 19, a black sedan with a maroon right fender stopped in the 4000 block of Clover Lane. The car waited as a boy around the age of 10 ran up to a home and took a package from the porch, police said.A short time later, the same vehicle stopped in front of a home in the the 10500 block of Gooding Drive, about a mile north of the previous incident.  Continue reading...
