Plano Business Campus Lands Huge Tech Firm Tenant

A new Plano business campus has landed another major tenant.Tech firm Ribbon Communications Inc. has leased 107,000 square feet of office space in the Legacy Central project on U.S. Highway 75 and Legacy Drive.The Massachusetts-based global software company is consolidating several offices from locations including Richardson and Plano into the new building."This new lease reinforces our long-term commitment to the Dallas region and provides us with not only a first-class facility that is perfect for retaining and attracting top tech talent, but also an ideal location to host our global customers and partners," Doug Carles, Vice President of Global Real Estate at Ribbon Communications, said in a statement. "In addition to the modern Class-A office space, Ribbon is building out a state-of-the-art R&D lab and customer support center, through which multiple products and solutions are developed and supported."This facility will allow us to better serve and support our global customer base from one of the most centrally-located, vibrant technology hubs in the world."Ribbon Communications will join Samsung, Peloton Cycles, Roland Technology Group and Adroit Health Group with offices at Legacy Central, which is a redevelopment of the former Plano Texas Instruments campus.Los Angeles-based Regent Properties bought the 84-acre property in 2016 and is spending more than $300 million to redo the old tech campus that was built starting in the 1980s.Baron Aldrine, Steve Rigby and Layne Mayfield with CBRE negotiated the new lease with Nathan Durham and Duane Henley with Transwestern."The exceptional amenities in their new, high tech space will provide the company with a cohesive environment for their North Texas employees as they continue to grow," CBRE's Aldrine said in a statement.  Continue reading...
