Pizza Delivery Driver Escapes Robbery Attempt After Prank Call in Texas

A pizza delivery driver was nearly robbed at gunpoint in southeast Texas on Tuesday after she was called to make what turned out to be a fake delivery.When the driver rang the doorbell at a home in Magnolia, about 40 miles northwest of Houston, the resident answered remotely. He told her he hadn't ordered any pizza and that she needed to leave.As she drove off, the driver recounted to Montgomery County sheriff's deputies, a Chevrolet Tahoe swerved to block the road. Two masked people — one armed with a handgun — got out and started walking toward her.The woman turned around and sped away, eventually parking at a house and hiding beneath the residence.
