Pit Bull Euthanized After Attack That Left Garland Boy With 27 Stitches

A pit bull has been euthanized in Garland after a series of incidents that culminated with a 10-year-old boy being attacked Saturday.Jowell Boyer and his twin sister were playing in an alley off of David Drive, near Rowlett and South Country Club roads, when the dog came running at them from under a fence, KDFW-TV (Channel 4) reported.Jowell's sister jumped into a dumpster, he said, but the dog managed to tackle him."The dog was biting me, swinging my head, on my neck," he said.
