Pilot Ejects From Burning F-16 Carrying Ammunition Before Crash at Houston Airport

An Air Force pilot ejected himself from his F-16 fighter jet during takeoff Wednesday morning after it caught fire, according to the Houston Airport System.The plane took off as part of a scheduled training flight around 10:30 a.m. at Ellington Airport in Houston under the instruction of NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command.The pilot ejected safely and is being treated at a hospital, NORAD reports. According to the City of Houston, he has minor injuries.The Houston Fire Department arrived to put out the fiery crash and evacuated the airport and closed off nearby roads.  Continue reading...
