Pete Sessions told The Dallas Morning News on Wednesday that he believes FBI director James Comey should have been given the opportunity to resign in a face-to-face meeting with President Donald Trump.The president dispatched an aide to Comey’s office to deliver a termination letter, and Comey, who was in Los Angeles for an FBI event, learned of his firing from news outlets.Sessions is uniquely qualified to speak on the subject: prior to Tuesday, his father had been the only director in the FBI’s 109-year-history to be fired.
