Pedestrian Killed by Passing Car on Tollway in Addison

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car on the Dallas North Tollway on Wednesday morning in Addison, officials said.The accident happened around 2:45 a.m. on the Tollway southbound near Westgrove Drive, DPS Trooper Lonny Haschel said. The pedestrian died at the scene and the driver of the Nissan stopped to wait for first responders, Haschel said. The crash closed the Tollway between Westgrove and Keller Springs Road.
