Paula Deen's Family Kitchen restaurant is coming to Texas. Fairview Town Center said Wednesday that the southern celebrity cook's restaurant will open in spring 2018. A restaurant start-up company based in Clarence, N.Y., Phoenix Hospitality and Entertainment Inc., is developing the Fairview restaurant. This will be its first and the first in Texas. A second one is in the works for San Antonio. It's also planned for next year and is expected to open four to six weeks after the Fairview restaurant, said Susan Kesel a spokeswoman for Phoenix Hospitality. The group is looking for other locations across the South, Kesel said. The 250-seat restaurant will include a full-scale replica of Deen's kitchen and sell her merchandise. Southern fried chicken, spare ribs and "Georgia fried catfish are on the menu."I adore all my fans in Texas, and bringing my Southern cooking to the Lone Star State is something I have dreamed about for years," Deen said in a press release.
