Park Place to Build Porsche Dealership in Grapevine, Company's Fourth Business in City

Park Place Dealerships plans to build a Porsche dealership on 5 acres at Texan Trail and State Highway 114 in Grapevine.The 70,000-square-foot facility will be Park Place's fourth in Grapevine, joining Park Place Lexus, Park Place Motorcars and a Land Rover Jaguar dealership scheduled to open July 1.Construction on the Porsche dealership is expected to begin within 30 days and be completed by spring 2018. Officials said Thursday that the project will create over 180 construction jobs and about 50 permanent jobs.Park Place Porsche Grapevine will be one of nine dealerships in the United States built around the new Porsche prototype. The dealership will have the capacity to display 21 vehicles in its showrooms, including two classic display vehicles.Park Place, founded in 1987 with a Mercedes-Benz dealership on Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas, has more than 2,000 employees at 17 full-service dealerships.  Continue reading...
