Old East Dallas Elementary School Put on Lockdown After Threat Called in

An Old East Dallas elementary school was placed on lockdown Monday afternoon after someone called in threats, police said. The lockdown was put into effect after police got a call about 1:20 p.m. from a person who made threats to "cause harm" at Ignacio Zaragoza Elementary. No students were at the school in the 4500 block of Worth Street, near North Carroll Avenue, but several employees were there, police said. Officers searched the building, but did not find the suspect or any signs of a crime.The school resumes classes Tuesday, according to its calendar.  Continue reading...
