Officers caught a suspect involved in a hit-and-run that injured a child and two adults in West Dallas overnight, police said. A red Ford Focus and a Silver Chrysler 300 were involved in the crash in the 200 block of West Mockingbird Lane, near Irving Boulevard, about 1:20 a.m. Saturday. The Ford Focus sustained extensive rear end damage, Dallas police spokesman Carlos Almeida said. One of the three victims inside the Ford Focus was a child who was transported to a hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue. The child's condition is not known. The driver of the Chrysler was no longer at the scene when officers arrived. Witness said they saw the suspect flee.
