Oak Lawn Sex Offender Gets 30 Years for 2nd Child-porn Conviction

A registered sex offender from Dallas has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after being convicted in a second child-pornography case.Hugh Michael Glenn, 48, was sentenced Monday on one count of transporting and shipping child pornography and one count of accessing with intent to view child pornography. He was found guilty of the charges in August.Glenn has been in custody since being arrested at his Oak Lawn apartment in September 2016.Authorities said Glenn admitted to visiting chat rooms and viewing child porn online. They reported finding more than 2,000 child-porn images on his laptop.In 2003, Glenn was sentenced to more than eight years in prison on a child-porn charge. He also had to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, starting with his release in 2010.In 2012, the University of Oklahoma sued Glenn over a website he owned β€” soonernetwork.com β€” alleging that he had bought the domain name with the sole purpose of selling it to the university at a profit.
