Oak Cliff's Mercado Artesanal Combines Open-air Latino Market, High-brow Art Gallery

Picture an open-air Latino market combined with a high-brow art gallery and you have Mercado Artesanal, a new attraction on West Jefferson Boulevard.Although Oak Cliff is known for its Latino businesses, the new art operation is a novelty for the street, which mostly features quinceañera dress stores, taquerías, paleterias and panaderías.A statue of legendary singer Juan Gabriel greets visitors when they walk into Mercado Artesanal.
