NY Police Responding to Reported Subway Explosion in Manhattan

Police in New York said they were responding Monday morning to a reported explosion in Midtown at an intersection near the Port Authority Bus Terminal.Few details were immediately available. In a post on Twitter, the New York Police Department said it was "responding to reports of an explosion of unknown origins" at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue.The Port Authority Bus Terminal, which bills itself as the world's busiest bus terminal, also is not far from Times Square.A police spokesman said that the incident occurred in the subway.
