Not a Lawyer Joke: It's Good News That Dallas Is Getting 35 New Lawyers

There are 35 new and different lawyers in Texas, and as far as we're concerned that's 35 reasons why the American Bar Association was right to reverse itself late last year and grant Texas' newest, and in many ways most ambitious, law school provisional accreditation. The University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law had initially been told it would not be accredited, a blow that could have doomed the fledgling school that opened just four years ago with such high hopes. The worry was that too many of its students had been admitted with low LSAT scores, had struggled with first-year grades and, as a result, were not likely to pass the bar exam.
