North Texas Roofing Company Owner Accused of Taking Deposits Without Finishing the Work

The owner of a North Texas roofing company is accused of taking deposits from homeowners for work that his business never started or didn't complete, Corinth police said. Charles Fairchild, 37, was arrested Thursday and charged with theft of property between $30,000 and $150,000. A grand jury indicted him after Corinth, Carrollton and Denton police investigators filed multiple cases against him based on similar complaints, police said.He posted bond and was released from the Denton County Jail the same day. Fairchild's company, Metroplex Roof and Fence, Inc., has more than a dozen complaints on the Better Business Bureau website, which states the company's accreditation has been revoked.   Continue reading...
