When Gov. Greg Abbott and his Texas delegation return home after a 9-day trip to India this weekend, their plane will make a stop in Ireland for refueling on its way back to Austin.And while the governor is flying charter, Texans looking to get to India on a commercial airline will find that they too will have to make a stop, whether in New York, London or the Middle East, before arriving in the country that’s home to 1.3 billion people and one of the world’s fastest growing economies.DFW International Airport and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport each offer nonstop service to more than 50 international cities, but neither has a direct link to India.  Continue reading...
