No Verdict Yet! John Wiley Price Jury Breaks for Weekend

The federal jury deciding the bribery case against Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price ended its third day of deliberations on Friday without reaching a verdict. They will return on Monday morning to resume work at the federal courthouse in downtown Dallas. Jurors begin deliberating on Wednesday and issued their only questions at the end of that day. Price is charged with 11 counts including bribery, mail fraud and tax evasion. His longtime friend and political consultant, Kathy Nealy, is accused of paying him nearly $1 million in bribes in the form of cash, the use of vehicles and land. She will be tried later.Dapheny Fain, Price's chief of staff, is accused of lying to the FBI and using her side business to help Price avoid paying taxes.   Continue reading...
