No Recommendation in the Democratic Primary for Statehouse District 63

We offer no recommendation in the Democratic primary for state District 63 in Denton County.Richard Wolf of Flower Mound is a 23-year-old college dropout who lives at home with his parents and says he's never held a job for more than a few months nor paid a dime in taxes. Nevertheless, he's quick to outline which taxes (on others) he'd increase to pay for his favorite programs. We suspect residents in this district would prefer somebody with a bit of life experience who can complete a questionnaire without resorting to profanities or boasts that he "will be the best legislator of all time."Laura Haines, 47, another first-time candidate from Flower Mound, declined to respond to several weeks of email and phone messages to learn her positions on issues and explain $85,000 in federal tax liens filed against her property. Thus, we can in good faith recommend neither candidate.Ready to vote? This is one in a series of Dallas Morning News recommendations for the March 6 primary elections.Last day to register to vote: Feb. 5Early voting starts: Feb. 20Election Day: March 6For more information:Collin County 1-800-687-8546 co.collin.tx.us/electionsDallas County 214-819-6300 dallascountyvotes.orgDenton County 940-349-3200 votedenton.comKaufman County 972-932-0298 kaufmancounty.org/electionsTarrant County 817-831-8683 access.tarrantcounty.com/en/elections.htmlFor more help, including how to check your registration status, contact the Texas secretary of state at 1-800-252-8683 or visit votetexas.gov.What's your view?Got an opinion about this issue?
