No One Hurt as Storms, Possible Tornado Heavily Damage Parts of Greenville East of Dallas-Fort Worth

Storms that threatened North Texas on Wednesday barely grazed the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but the story was different farther east, where a possible tornado left extensive damage behind in Greenville.No one was injured as storms hit the Hunt County city about 51 miles to the northeast of Dallas.The storm hit in the middle of choir practice at Highland Terrace Baptist Church, ripping off a huge chunk of the building's roof."Within three seconds we heard a loud boom and the roof here was taken off and deposited in that Sunday school class probably 30 feet from us," Wynema Payne told KXAS-TV (Channel 5).  Continue reading...
