No More Clock Changes? House Would Let Texans Pick Daylight Saving Or Standard Time – Year-round

AUSTIN -- Texans would have no more twice-yearly clock changes, but instead would choose to stay year-round on either Daylight Saving Time or Standard Time, under a proposed constitutional amendment the House approved on Tuesday.House Joint Resolution 117 secured the needed two-thirds vote and advanced to the Senate, 133-9. Eight Democrats, three from North Texas, and a sole Republican voted against. If the Senate goes along, then voters would have the final say."In a modern society, I submit to you, that it is primitive that we change our clocks," said resolution author Rep.
