Nine Houston residents have been indicted and arrested in eight robberies that occurred in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2016-17, federal officials announced. The eight men and one woman were indicted last week on one count each of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, said U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox of the Northern District of Texas.Charges were filed against Jarvis Broussard, 29; Trey Nathaniel Dickerson, 25; Christian Demond Gilbert, 28; Randy Lamark Hammond, 23; John Christopher Jones, 27; Brandon Chermaine Mallet, 31; Chrisheena Ladale Milburn, 27; Fernando Rafael Taylor, 29; and Jonathan Walker, 31.The indictment arose out of a series of crimes in the Dallas area that involved surveilling places for potential targets with significant amounts of cash and robbing them. The crimes started Feb. 4, 2016, and continued until at least July 22, 2017, federal officials said. The indictment alleges that the suspects conspired together to commit several robberies. Five of the robberies occurred at businesses in Dallas, while two happened in Garland and one in Irving, according to the indictment. The investigation into the crimes is being conducted by the FBI, with help from the Dallas, Garland, Irving and Richardson police departments.  Continue reading...
