New PPG Shipping Hub Opens in Flower Mound

Developer Duke Realty has completed a major distribution center Flower Mound for PPG Industries Inc.The 449,200-square-foot industrial project will be used for be the company's largest distribution center for architectural paints and coatings in U.S. and Canada.Construction started last June on the big building at 1001 Lakeside Parkway.The building is located in Duke Realty's Lakeside Ranch business park, which is north of DFW International Airport.The new distribution center will serve more than 1,000 PPG stores, national retailers and independent retailers."This new facility will allow PPG to provide faster, more efficient service to a number of national retailers, PPG Paints stores, and independent retailers throughout the southwest U.S.," PPG's Don Donatelli said in a statement.Lakeside Ranch is one of more than a dozen industrial developments Duke Realty has in North Texas.The Dallas-Fort Worth area has one of the country's fastest growing warehouse and distribution markets, with more than 30 million square feet under construction.  Continue reading...
