New Plano Mixed-use Project Would Start With Apartments

A planned Plano mixed-use project would bring hundreds of apartments plus office and retail space along State Highway 121.The 50-acre Mustang Square development is proposed for a vacant tract at S.H. 121 and Rasor Boulevard, east of Preston Road.Designed by architect Gensler, the proposed project would have an almost $2 billion economic impact, according to details filed with the City of Plano.Landowner Thakker Developers and apartment builder JPI are working on Mustang Square, which will have more than a dozen buildings on the south side of S.H. 121.Construction on the first of 448 apartments is planned to start next year, a spokesperson for JPI said.  Continue reading...
