New Hotel, Mixed-use Project on the Way in Southlake

Construction has kicked off in Southlake on a new hotel - the first phase of a mixed-use development.The Marriott Delta Hotel is being built at State Highway 114 and North White Chapel Boulevard.The 240-room, 6-story hotel is a project of developer RREAF Holdings.Dallas' Merriman Anderson/Architects designed the project - only the second Marriott Delta Hotel in North Texas."The hotel features a modern design borrowing materials and color from the surrounding context," Milton Anderson, Merriman Anderson/Architects Vice President, said in a statement. "The warm blend of limestone, metals and stucco create a modern flavor for the architecture setting the tone for the palette that will be used for the rest of the masterplan."As much as 240,000 square feet of offices, restaurants and retail space are planned to surround the new hotel.The Southlake hotel will include 10,000 square feet of meeting space.The project is scheduled for completion next year.
